InternationalWEST debuts its ninth hotel of the resort area. The Sheraton Garden Grove, located at 12221 Harbor Boulevard, is the latest to join other premier hotels in the upscale hotel/retail district.
"The Sheraton Garden Grove complements InternationalWEST, a gateway to the city and Southern California recreational center. It is the latest enhancement to this part of the city," says Mayor Bill Dalton.
The seven-story, full-service hotel boasts 285 rooms and 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Currently open for business, the grand opening ceremony is scheduled to take place by late September.
City Manager, Matt Fertal, adds, "Sheraton Garden Grove demonstrates the City’s commitment to continue meeting the needs of our residents and guests and boosting the economic health of our community. InternationalWEST continues to grow as a destination for families and business travelers."
According to the City’s Economic Development Department, the project is valued at over $40 million. The Department also estimates the annual bed taxes will yield $1 million while annual property taxes will generate almost half-a-million dollars. Through this development, approximately 130 new jobs will be created.
InternationalWEST is Garden Grove’s paramount resort destination, offering a dynamic mix of upscale dining places, shopping, hotel, and entertainment venues. Bordered to the north by the Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Convention Center, InternationalWEST stands prominently within the heart of Orange County’s largest tourist center.
